Bob has recorded for various labels including: Restless/Enigma, Elektra/Asylum Imprint, and Interscope Records.

After a long hiatus from recording, due mostly from a debilitating heroin addiction, Bob has been clean and sober now for over 10 years and released his first album in 20 years in 2016, the critically acclaimed, The Year We Tried To Kill The Pain, which went to #1 on several Roots and Americana charts in both the U.S. and Europe.
